Hey Reader!
Spring weather has finally arrived where I live, and I’m happy to report that my yard is (finally!) free of snow. I’m choosing to ignore the snow in the forecast later this week… that feels like a problem for future me.
All this sunshine has me thinking about goals again, both personal and website ones.
One of my personal goals this month is to finally set up our patio space. Right now, it’s not much to look at.
Our poor old barbecue needs replacing and we don’t have any outdoor furniture yet. The barbecue comes first (we cook outside as often as we can), but I’ve also been casually stalking Facebook Marketplace for a table and umbrella so we can actually sit out there.
I’m really hoping to find a larger table so I can bring my laptop outside and work in the fresh air. If I’m going to spend extra hours working on my big site goals, I’d much rather do it in the sunshine than cooped up inside.
My goal tasks for the month
On the website side of things, I’ve been deep in a content refresh lately.
My big focus right now is making the site easier to navigate and more genuinely helpful. Last year I created all the collection pages for the different planner designs. This month I shifted over to the Home Management section.
I started by building three new landing pages to better organize everything and I’m really excited about how they turned out. They’ve given me the space to pull related content together and make things easier to find (which has been needed for a while now).
They’re still a work in progress, but I’m really happy with the direction they’re going.
My plan is to update the other three Home Management landing pages before the end of the month, though I’ll be honest, I’m not totally sure I’m on track for that yet.
I’m giving it a solid try, but I’m also learning (again) that these kinds of updates take longer than I expect.
I think that’s why the patio setup feels so important to me right now. If I can create a space I actually want to sit in, it makes showing up for these bigger projects feel a little easier (and a lot more enjoyable).
That’s what I’m working on this month—slowly building things, one piece at a time (preferably with a little sunshine involved).
I’d love to hear what you’re working on right now too. Hit that reply button and let me know. I read and respond to every email.
